Elk Antler is especially appealing to dogs because of the rich, thick, meaty “marrow” portion, hidden inside the hard outer core. Elk antler, compared to other antler varieties, has up to 30% more marrow core, and the marrow is what makes it such an attractive chew for even fussy dogs!
A Whole piece of antler is tougher than a split piece and will hold up longer for an aggressive chewer. The Split Antler is a great way to introduce your dog to Antlers for the first time. These pieces include the 'Button' which is the end that used to be attached to the Elk's head. The 'button' is tougher than the rest of the antler and some dogs are more attracted to it.
