Naturalpaw Daily Enzymes is a complete blend of digestive enzymes plus prebiotics and Herbs. This product contains potent plant-based enzymes that meet the specific needs of dogs and cats. Digestive enzymes increase the absorption of nutrients from commercial foods and home prepared diets, supplement the normal enzymatic activity of the body and prevent gastrointestinal problems caused by food intolerance, allergies, stress, illness and the use of antibiotics. Enzymes help ‘unlock’ the nutrients in food allowing for better absorption by the body. This formula is designed to replace natural enzymes found in whole raw foods that are lost through cooking and processing. These enzymes also help digest hair, easing troublesome hairballs for cats and allowing hairballs to pass through the digestive tract.

Digesting different types of food require different kinds of enzymes. There are three basic groups or categories of enzymes that help digest proteins, fats and carbohydrates:
Protease – Breaks down protein found in meats, etc.
Lipase – Breaks down fats from meats and fish oils.
Amylase – Breaks down carbohydrates (starches) found in grains, vegetables, etc.
All of the above are contained in this product as well as Cellulase, which further breaks down fibre found in plant material such as fruits, vegetables and grains.
